How does Mike describe Incubus? "Melodic rock-n-roll." What other artists is Mike into? If you know anything about Mike, you know he loves Bjork. He also enjoys such bands as Led Zepplin, Santana, Foo Fighters, and Radiohead. What is Mike's ultimate fantasy?Ultimate, I'm not sure. But I've read that he'd love to tour with Bjork. How does Mike feel about Napster/internet mp3's? He thinks they're cool. He thinks that if a person really likes the band, they'll go get the CD. What's Mike's favorite pedal technique?
I'm not sure that it's his favorite but he likes to use the delay/reverb pedal.

What contributes to the rapid changes in his guitar style throughout a song?
Well, I'm sure there are many other factors, but Mike himself attributes some of it to his short attention span. "I get bored easily, and having harmonic movement within a part keeps things interesting."
What are Mike's nicknames?
Well, "Mike," for one, is short for Michael. He, at one point or another, has also gone by "Fabio," "Mic 1," "Jawa," "Mikey," and  "DynaMike."
Is Mike single?
Nope, he's dating model/actress Cameron Richardson.
What kind of gear does Mike use?
For the recording of Enjoy Incubus, he used an Ibanez RG570. Then he finally got some cash from the record company and bought a Paul Reed Smith guitar for the recording of S.C.I.E.N.C.E . He now has custom colored PRS guitars made for him. He takes three with him on tour. One silver colored one, one black one he tunes down for the drop D songs, and a natural colored PRS with two F-holes in it for the acoustic style stuff. His favorite amplifiers are by Mesa Boogie.
Does Mike have pets?
Yeah, he has two puppies. The one in pictures with him is Oliver. He also has two labarador retrievers named Rufus and Billy.
Who are some of Mike's inspirations?
A major one I know of is legendary guitarist, Steve Vai. Mike says, "There is probably nothing I could teach that guy, he's an alien and has abilities that are inconceivable."

He used to ride horses when he was young. He and Brandon did a report together on Tahiti when they were 11 years old. The first album he owned was the Star Wars soundtrack. The first song he learned to play on the guitar was the James Bond theme song. His first concert was the Go-Go's at age six, followed shortly by Michael Jackson at age seven.
Do you know any funny things about Mike?
Um, well, his mom disallowed him to do snowboarding and skateboarding. He still sneaks and does it, though. (Hah?)
What are some of Mike's beliefs?
Well, religiously, he's Jewish. On a different level, he believes everyone should own at least one Led Zepplin album and one Police album. Mike also believes in life on other planets.
What does Mike think of Audiovent?
If you're asking if he likes the music, it's questionable. He's been seen at a few Audiovent shows, but it's not 100% certain that he's not just there for moral support. I've never seen him quoted to like or dislike their music. -- Now, as in people referring to Audiovent as belittling names like "mini-incubus" and "little incubus," Mike and Brandon, as well as Ben and Jason, highly dislike it for obvious reasons. If you've heard the lyrics to "Looking Down" by Audiovent, which was written about the incubus-Audiovent ties, you will see that both bands desire to prosper as independent bands as they should have the right to.
